I’ve been having some interesting conversations with folks since I’ve become self employed. So many people have congratulated me on leaving my corporate career and taking a stand to create the life I want.
However, I’ve also noticed in the same breath many say, “I could never do that.”
I’m finding a lot of us don’t believe we can truly live a happy, fulfilled life. Ladies and gentleman, it is possible.
Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not pointing fingers. I lived in a den of miserableness (I know that’s not a word but I thought it sounded great) for quite some time.
So when do we take control of our lives to create the life we want?
We put so much trust in God and our job; but do we ever wonder if God has so much more for us to offer to the world.
We talk about our faith and then we go to our 9-5 that has now become a 9-8 and many of us are miserable.
Maybe God wants us to get up and do something?
How much misery should you handle? At some point we may realize that we are here for a purpose. Our goal is to then discover what that purpose is?
I’m now discovering that I am here to be joyful. My purpose is to help others navigate through these challenging times to discover and incorporate purpose in their lives.
So my question today is what do you need to be truly happy and what is it that’s holding you back?
And if you are living your purpose how did you discover it?
At some point your kids will be gone. You will retire from the job where you are so discontented. And then ask yourself…now what?
What will it take for you to begin your journey?
